Jose Cifuentes is scheduled to depart from Glasgow on Friday, with an official Rangers departure date of one week from Thursday.

Having shown promise at LAFC, the midfielder joined with the Ibrox club in the summer. He was brought in from

the MLS by former manager Michael Beale, but the move hasn’t proved successful.

Under new coach Philippe Clement, he has played fewer minutes and has been a bit part player. In January, there

were rumors that Cifuentes would be leaving Rangers on a loan with a buyout

option to move to South America and Cruzeiro.

With Brazil’s transfer window open until March 7th, there is more than enough time to complete a deal. However,

Cifuentes is currently trying to move on from his terrible Rangers period, but red tape is holding things up.

It was anticipated that the midfield player will come this week to finalize his transfer, according to reports from

South America. It will now take till the following week, specifically on Thursday the 15th.

Brazilian employment laws require him to complete paperwork in his homeland and that is why he won’t be

presented in Belo Horizonte until next Thursday. That leaves him with a lengthy journey to complete his move.

On Friday, he will depart Glasgow by plane for Ecuador, where he will gather the necessary paperwork to complete

the relocation to Brazil. Despite having just made six starts in blue,

Cifuentes might make a quick transition to the Brazilian team.

Next Sunday in the state league Campeonato Mineiro, the Ecuadorian is anticipated to make his Cruzeiro debut against Democrata.
