Norwich Boss Insists No Hard Feelings Over Narcis Pelach Taking Stoke Job

The manager of Norwich City, Johannes Hoff Thorup, has wished Narcis Pelach well and expressed his happiness that the player has taken up the full-time manager position at Stoke City. Three members of manager Thorup’s coaching staff, Harrison Glew, Paul Clements, and Pelach, have left the Canaries to join Stoke City, a team in the Championship. The Canaries made this announcement earlier in the week. At the bet365 Stadium, Pelach was appointed manager full-time, and the other two became members of his coaching staff.

While Pelach was given the full-time manager’s role at the bet365 Stadium, the two others joined his coaching team.

It was a setback for the Norwich City manager with the season in full swing, but he maintains that plans to replace them had been made for a long time. At a news conference, Thorup expressed his happiness that Pelach had secured the manager’s position at Stoke, saying, “I’m delighted for Narcis.” It’s a huge responsibility for him, and it’s well-earned.

There are no hard feelings at all.

“We only wish him the best, and also the two other guys joining him.

“He has been quite open from the start, and also in a media interview before this season, that he had that ambition to go out and try to be a head coach somewhere.

That means we have had the time to prepare and the time to be quite clear on what we want and how we want it to be if and when Narcis was about to leave.”

In the absence of the duo, Norwich have interim coaching staff in place to assist Thorup with Declan Rudd and Joe Shulburg stepping in.
