Former Liverpool keeper Foster signs short-term deal with Everton
Everton have completed the signing of former Liverpool goalkeeper
Rylee Foster on a short-term deal which will run until January.
The Blue Girls broke the news to WSL Full-Time this morning through an official club press release.
The 26-year-old goalie, who previously represented Canada at the junior level,
has joined Everton after playing for Wellington Pheonix of the A-League Women in New Zealand last season.
Foster played with Wellington Pheonix for 19 games, during which she recorded five clean sheets.
Foster played with Liverpool from 2020 to 2023, thus he is no stranger to English football.
During her tenure with The Reds, the keeper made nine appearances.
Despite her spell’s initial restrictions on game time, the player shone when given opportunities.
Although she had early promise at Liverpool, the latter eighteen months of her career
there were incredibly challenging. Foster had a difficult time getting back to health after suffering serious
injuries in an automobile accident in October 2021. It was unclear at the time if she would pick up football again.
At the beginning of the previous season, Foster was able to demonstrate her physical and mental
well-being while playing for Wellington Pheonix. With Everton,
the player will now be prepared to make up lost time in England.
