Watford are hoping to have Giorgi Chakvetadze available for their trip to face Norwich City,

but are set for a late decision on the winger.

Chakvetadze was stretchered off in the second half of the Hornets’ 1-1 draw with Coventry last week,

covering his face as he went down the tunnel after an off-ball injury.

The Georgian has made an impressive recovery, however, and Watford head coach Tom Cleverley says he

could be fit to feature at Carrow Road, despite missing team training this week.

“It was positive news after the game,” he said. “It looked a lot more serious than it was.

It was a back spasm that immobilised him, but Giorgi has responded well.

“He’s not trained with the group yet this week, but we’re hoping that he will be available for selection.

“He’s a bit more than 50/50. The plan is that we’ll see how he responds to training,

but the aim is to have him available for selection.

“He’s just a good player and a top professional. He wants to learn and he has really high game intelligence,

that of a Premier League player.”

Kwadwo Baah, Imran Louza and Angelo Ogbonna are also likely to feature in the lunchtime kick-off,

as Cleverley chooses from a wealth of options after his side’s positive start.

“This will be the toughest team selection I’ve had to date,” he continued. “We have more strength in depth,

and it’s a nice problem to face.

“I can’t say Baah is definitely going to be available, but we’re on the hopeful side of 50/50.

He was 50/50 for last weekend and didn’t make it, but we’ll see how he reacts to training.

“Louza and Ogbonna come into the squad for this weekend and they are good additions,

because we’ve been light in those positions for the last few weeks. They are both experienced players,

and I’m happy to have them back.”
