Managing Stoke City is not impossible job insists Ryan Shawcross

As Stoke City is ready to introduce Narcis Pelach as its new head coach, Ryan Shawcross maintains

that managing the team is not an insurmountable task.

Pelach was in the stands last night as Stoke, under interim manager Shawcross,

defeated Fleetwood Town on penalties to advance to the Carabao Cup last 16.
Since Stoke was demoted from the Premier League in 2018, he will be the sixth manager or head coach,

and no one has been able to stop a run of consecutive bottom-half finishes.

Shawcross countered, saying, “It’s a great club with some really good players.” Eventually,

someone will get it right, and we’ll do some unique stuff here.

I’m hoping he’ll take over as manager,

and we’ll back him wholeheartedly in the hopes that he succeeds.

this is a really excellent squad with really good players,

Shawcross thinks that suggestions are welcome in the changing room, but they must address a “soft underbelly.”

“This is a young dressing room with a lot of talent and experience,” he remarked.
