but given the increasing uncertainty behind the scenes Clement finds himself routinely fronting non-footballing questions.

On the park, Philippe Clement has overseen a substantial squad overhaul and

is begging the Rangers support to stickwith his young team as they navigate an early season storm.

But off it, the Rangers manager has hinted that someone else better suited may well be in a position to answer questions on the off-field chaos enveloping the club in the coming days.

Clement hints at imminent Rangers board announcement

You have to feel for Philippe Clement at times as Rangers manager this season.

First the Belgian has had to answer frustrated questiong on the state of the club’s squad and finances, Clement paying the price for years of mismanagement whilst he wasn’t in situ.

The Rangers boss then had to navigate the storm that is the Copland Road stand reconstruction, which was hit with delays and forced the club to play at Hampden through crucial Champions League qualifiers.

On top of all that, Clement has been the face that journalists have presented questions to surrounding the Ibrox hierarchy, which continues through a period of upheaval.

First CEO James Bisgrove jumped ship to Saudi Arabia, before chairman John Bennett was unfortunately urged to step down due to health reasons.

The stress of life at Ibrox is taking its toll and, once again asked about the club’s hierarchy, Clement hinted that news surrounding that structure would be made public this week.

“I think until now I’ve been the only one talking outside,” Clement told the press following the 1-0 win over Dundee United. “So that doesn’t change too much.

Maybe it will change next week. We will see.

“I’m not the guy who brings in the cash or the money into the club.

“My job is to get the best out of the players who are who are in the building and to look for new ones together with recruitment team and to make the right decisions with the budget we have.

“That’s my job to do and I will continue in that way.

“But I had also a lot of talks before with James and with John about strategic things for the future of the club and to make things better in the club, in everything, but also in Scottish football. So I think it will continue with the new people who step in.”

Rangers must help Philippe Clement out

Rangers, a team that has seen frequent transition over the past several seasons, is in desperate need of stability.

There has been instability at the top of the marble staircase pretty much since Dave King departed the building. The former chairman of the Rangers has subsequently put his name in the hat to return.

After Steven Gerrard departed the Ibrox dugout, the team appointed and fired two managers before choosing Philippe Clement to lead the team’s rebuilding process.

John Gilligan, an investor and stakeholder, has taken Bennett’s place. Douglas Park, Stewart Robertson, and Ross Wilson are no longer with the company.

Rangers supporters want to see a well-defined structure and a well-defined plan for getting back to the top of the league, and currently.
