Cristian Romero shares social media post slamming Tottenham chiefs after Arsenal defeat
Tottenham defender Cristian Romero was somewhat to fault for Arsenal’s derby victory.
Cristian Romero has made a sensation on social media by temporarily sharing an article claiming Tottenham officials compelled him to
arrange his own return from international duty.
Romero had a dreadful Sunday when the guy he was supposed to monitor for a second-half corner, Gabriel Magalhaes, headed home
Arsenal’s winner in the north London derby.
Tottenham has not yet secured its position to fight since it is not in the details: it was the only Premier League club to send players back
from international duty on their own and without their own logistics due to decisions made by its leaders.
It provided an advantage because its players arrived with less rest than others. Cuti Romero performed with a fever.”
Romero quickly removed it from his X page, but not before screenshots started circulating. The defender then sent his own message to
supporters, who were still down after suffering their third consecutive home defeat to the Gunners.
“It stings to lose a derby, but I am confident that we will turn this awful start to the season around. Let us all be united at this moment.
Thank you to all of our fans for their continued support.
Romero had a more difficult international break than most, traveling all the way to South America and playing the entire 90 minutes in
both of Argentina’s games, the latter of which ended in a 2-1 loss to Colombia on Tuesday night.
His exhausting two weeks on the pitch resulted in problems on the pitch, as Spurs fans were generally unsatisfied with his performance.
In the key seconds leading up to the goal, Arsenal icon Paul Merson felt Romero was unlucky not to be given a foul for a shove in the back,
but he also believed the defending needed to be punished.
