Celtic and two lowest paid players cannot agree on a contract renewal,as they demand better terms
Celtic and two important players cannot agree on a contract renewal and want better terms.
Celtic will receive payment in accordance with Vata’s length of stay in the team’s academy.
Brendan Rodgers was quoted by The Sun on January 7 as saying:
I understand that Liam is thrilled to be playing and that the club is in negotiations with his agent.
That will be handled eventually, I’m sure of it. For him, it’s been an incredible journey.
Liam Scales and Rocco Vata are continuing in negotiations with Celtic over new contracts.
Although bids have been made by both sides, no deal has been made as of yet.
Even with Gus Lagerbielke and Maik Nawrocki joining in the summer,
Despite the team’s turmoil in that area, Scales joined the Celtic defense at the end of August and hasn’t missed a match since.
His surge in appearances has helped him establish himself in the Irish international team and has surely made other clubs aware of his potential.
The defender, who signed in 2021 shortly after turning 23 and leaving Shamrock Rovers,
is anticipated to be among the first team squad’s lowest-paid players.
This season, Vata has been connected to several teams, most notably those in Italy.
yet despite only making three fleeting appearances, has now started to participate more with Celtic’s first team squad.
