TV details confirmed for both legs of Rangers’ Champions League play-off
TV details for both legs of Rangers’ upcoming Champions League play-off tie against Club Brugge have been confirmed.
Russell Martin’s men defeated Viktoria Plzen 4-2 on aggregate in the third qualifying round.
A clash against Brugge now separates them and a place in the league phase of European football’s premier club competition.
The first leg of the tie takes place at Ibrox next Tuesday, August 19, at 8pm. It will be shown live on Amazon Prime in the UK.
The return leg will be played out on the following Wednesday, August 27, also at 8pm. It has been selected for live TV coverage, too, with TNT Sports picking it up.
Before they return to European action, Rangers have a domestic tie to contend with. They welcome Alloa Athletic to Ibrox in the last 16 of the Premier Sports Cup tomorrow evening.
Boss Martin has yet to secure a domestic victory since taking charge after consecutive 1-1 draws with Motherwell and Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.
As much as European progress is welcomed, he knows maintaining consistent positive results on all fronts is crucial.
