Tottenham Eyeing Move to Sign ‘Magic’ £42m PL Star for Frank Alongside Mbeumo
Tottenham Hotspur could look to land Brentford star Mikkel Damsgaard this summer, once Thomas Frank’s move from the Gtech Community Stadium is confirmed – with the Danish star having excelled in the middle of the park this season.
Damsgaard has had an excellent individual campaign, finally settling into Premier League football and looking to be a real asset for Frank’s side, as they finished in the top half of the division for the second time in just four seasons. But with his gaffer shortly set to move across the city, that could see Damsgaard follow suit.
Report: Damsgaard on Tottenham Radar, Could Follow Frank
The report by CaughtOffside states that Damsgaard continues to attract interest in the transfer market – and with Frank set to be on his way to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to replace Ange Postecoglou in the coming hours, the Danish boss has added his compatriot to his shortlist ahead of a potential move.

Damsgaard joined Brentford back in 2022 after impressing for Serie A side Sampdoria, alongside his form in the Denmark national team – including a famous free-kick in the EURO 2020 semi-finals against England.
He’s shone under Frank in west London, and although he does have a contract until 2030, that has tempted clubs with an interest in his services – with Tottenham in particular making inroads towards his signing. Spurs are thought to be keeping a close watch on Damsgaard’s potential availability, and the club weighing up a move for the 24-year-old to improve their midfield, wanting to add more technical ability and creativity to their side.
Brentford would be open to offers in the region of €50million (£42.3million), and the next step remains to be seen. If Frank is willing to pay that much for his Bees midfield star after he signed Damsgaard for just £13.5million three years ago, it’s an insight as to how much he trusts the player, having been called ‘magic’ earlier in the campaign.
