Scottish whizzkid Lennon Miller is reported to be a Sunderland target ahead of the Premier League season. The Black Cats are preparing a £10million bid according to reports

The 18-year-old midfield maestro has been watched by Celtic and Rangers, but the Black Cats are quietly confident they can tempt Miller south of the border.

And they hope the promise of regular Premier League football will be one of the big selling points as last season’s Football Writers’ Association Young Player of the Year award winner looks to take another step in his fledgling career.

Teenager Miller impressed for Motherwell last season in the Scottish Premiership but is out of contract next summer and the club are understandably desperate to keep him at Fir Park.
