Leeds United’s pursuit of a new left-back has taken another twist on Wednesday as a new name has been touted with a move to Elland Road, after reports of talks for Aston Villa’s Alex Moreno.

Junior Firpo is ‘widely anticipated’ to leave Elland Road this summer,

with AC Milan and Lyon both in talks to sign

The 28-year-old will see his contract expire on the 30th.

The reason for Firpo’s contract winding down could be simply because Firpo fancies a new challenge, but there is a theory that Leeds would prefer a better option defensively

with Firpo better going forward.
