🚨 OFFICIAL: Tottenham Hotspur Sign Former Celtic Forward Kyogo Furuhashi on Three-Year Deal

London, June 7, 2025 — Tottenham Hotspur have officially completed the signing of former Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi on a three-year contract, the club announced this morning.

The 30-year-old Japanese international joins Spurs after three successful seasons at Celtic, where he netted 54 goals in 87 appearances and became a fan favorite at Parkhead.

Known for his explosive pace, intelligent movement, and clinical finishing, Kyogo is expected to bring added firepower and versatility to Ange Postecoglou’s attacking options.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Tottenham,” said Kyogo in his first official interview. “It’s a dream to play in the Premier League and to reunite with Ange again is really special.

I’m excited to give my all for the club and the fans.”

The transfer, rumored to be worth around £12 million, sees Kyogo become the first Japanese player to wear a Spurs shirt since Kazuyuki Toda’s short stint in 2003. The move also reunites him with manager Ange Postecoglou, who originally brought him to Celtic from Vissel Kobe in 2021.

Postecoglou praised the signing, stating: “Kyogo is a player I know extremely well. His work rate, professionalism, and ability to find space in tight areas make him a fantastic addition to our squad.”

Kyogo is expected to join Spurs’ pre-season tour in Asia and could make his debut in a friendly against Yokohama F. Marinos next month.
