🚨 Official: AC Milan Sign Marc-André ter Stegen in Surprise €25M Deal
June 6, 2025 – Milan, Italy
In a stunning move, AC Milan have officially completed the signing of German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen from FC Barcelona for a reported fee of €25 million.
The veteran keeper, now 33, leaves Camp Nou after more than a decade of service to join the Rossoneri on a three-year deal that runs through 2028. Ter Stegen will take the #1 jersey, amid growing speculation that Mike Maignan could be sold this summer.
“This is an exciting step for me,” Ter Stegen told MilanTV. “AC Milan’s ambition and legacy are unmatched. I can’t wait to get started and contribute to their goals.”
Milan’s sporting director Geoffrey Moncada hailed the deal as a “smart investment” for the club, emphasizing Ter Stegen’s “elite mentality and big-match experience.”
Barcelona, under new leadership and undergoing a financial reset, reportedly accepted the cut-price offer to reduce their wage bill and make room for younger talent.
Ter Stegen is expected to report for preseason with Milan in July and could debut in the opening match of the Serie A season.
