🚨 OFFICIAL: Wolves Complete First Summer Signing After Agreeing £34M Deal with Levante FC
Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a major statement ahead of the 2025/26 season by confirming their first signing of the summer — securing Levante FC’s star midfielder Álvaro Muñoz in a deal worth £34 million.
The 22-year-old Spanish playmaker has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs following a breakout season in La Liga, where he notched 7 goals and 12 assists. Known for his vision, quick feet, and set-piece mastery, Muñoz is seen as a long-term replacement for João Moutinho and is expected to slot straight into Gary O’Neil’s midfield plans.
> “Álvaro is a player we’ve been tracking for over a year,” said Wolves sporting director Matt Hobbs. “His creativity and technical ability will add a new dimension to our midfield. We’re excited to welcome him to Molineux.”
The deal includes performance-based add-ons and a sell-on clause for Levante. Muñoz is understood to have signed a five-year contract, with an option for a sixth, and will wear the No. 8 shirt.
He will join the squad for pre-season training in early July and could make his unofficial debut in Wolves’ upcoming U.S. tour.
Stay tuned for more updates as Wolves continue to strengthen their squad for a European push next season.
