For the 2025–2026 season, we are seeking Host Families to help our young athletes as they relocate to Swansea City.
What Makes a Family a Host?
Make your house dependable, secure, and hospitable.
support a player’s intellectual and personal development and play a significant part in their development both on and off the field.
Get compensation that is competitive.
Swansea City is centered on family. We are aware that when our players feel content and safe at home, they provide their best effort.
We would consider applications from people who can offer short-term (one or two nights) placements, but we would prefer candidates who can house a player full-time (seven nights a week).
The players will range in age from sixteen to nineteen.
What we’re trying to find
In the SA1, SA2, and SA5 postcode areas, we are looking for host families who live close to a train
station or other public transportation hubs. You ought to be able to offer first-rate lodging, preferably in a family setting.
Instruct students in self-care, cleaning, and cooking as well as other vital independent living skills.
Serve food in accordance with the Academy’s dietary recommendations.
Make sure the lodging has convenient access to local services and transportation.
Inform the Academy’s Player Care and Safeguarding staff of any welfare issues.
As much as the players feel comfortable, incorporate them into family life.
Throughout the season, allow for frequent visits and inspections.
Establish relationships based on trust by communicating honestly.
Throughout the football season, adjust to the young players’ flexible schedule.
Encourage and exhibit a robust anti-discrimination policy.
