Exclusive: Stoke City name asking price for Million Manhoef following interest from Celtic and four other clubs
EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal what it would take for Stoke City to consider selling Million Manhoef as clubs plot a move for the winger.
Manhoef has been linked with a number of high-profile clubs, including Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.
After an electric start to the season in which he scored five goals, an injury sidelined the Netherlands Under-21 international over winter, but his return to action has helped Stoke climb away from the Championship’s bottom three.
Mark Robins will be desperate to keep the exciting talent but as other clubs circle around, the right fee could see him depart.
How much would Stoke sell Million Manhoef for?
Speaking to TBR Football’s Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis understands that an offer of, or close to, £10m would be enough to allow Manhoef to leave.
Bailey added that as well as Celtic, the promotion-chasing duo of Sheffield United and Burnley are also keen on his services, along with Belgian duo Genk and Club Brugge.
The former Vitesse Arnhem man joined Stoke in January 2024 for a fee of £3m and has been good value for that so far.
With his contract expiring in 2027, the Potters first-teamer still has enough time on his deal to command a healthy fee and the interest from across the continent could even welcome a bidding war that sees Stoke get more than they expected.
Million Manhoef ready to make step up to the next level
As much as they won’t want to admit it, Stoke don’t look like they are in a place to challenge for promotion next season.
All of the aforementioned teams interested in their Dutch youth international prospect can either offer European football or potentially a place in the Premier League next season.
Despite the Staffordshire club’s struggles this season, Manhoef has been able to impress and has already matched his G/A contribution for the 23/24 season in the same amount of games
Notably, the goals and assists are much more even in comparison to previous seasons and the winger looks as if is very much ready to make the next step.
