Tottenham receive ‘hands-off warning’ from Fulham in pursuit of attacking star

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly big fans of one Premier League striker, but his club are aware of Spurs’ interest and are now coming up with a plan to foil the North London club’s attempts to price the player away.

Irrespective of whether Spurs take up the option to sign Mathys Tel permanently in the summer, one would expect the club to make a move for a number nine this summer.

This is because Tel has struggled while leading the line while it has widely been reported that Richarlison is expected to exit Tottenham this summer, thus potentially leaving the Lilywhites with no one to compete with Dominic Solanke.

It was reported last summer that Spurs enquired about Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz, and the North London side are expected to try again for the Brazilian this summer, but they will face a major roadblock.

Fulham determined to ward off Tottenham’s interest in Rodrigo Muniz

GiveMeSport have now claimed that Muniz is indeed on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar ahead of the summer window, with Ange Postecoglou’s side said to have been impressed by the striker’s progress at Craven Cottage.

Fulham are aware that Spurs and several other Premier League sides are eyeing their striker and are determined to retain his services for next season.

The Cottagers are expected to issue a ‘hands-off warning’ to Tottenham about the 23-year-old and are ready to offer him a new contract with a significantly higher salary to ward off Spurs interest.

The outlet adds that Marco Solva’s men have no interest in considering the sale of Muniz, with Tottenham thus facing an ‘uphill battle’ in their quest to sign the player.

Spurs face competition from two London rivals for Muniz

GiveMeSport reveal that Tottenham are not the only ones keeping an eye on the Fulham man’s situation, with two of their London rivals also following his progress.

It is explained that both West Ham United and Chelsea have sent scouts to Craven Cottage to watch Muniz in action recently, with both sides considering a summer move for the former Flamengo man.

The publication adds that Fulham are of the opinion that the centre-forward has a very high ceiling and view him as a £50m player.
