Leeds United Tipped to Cruise over Middlesbrough in Promotion Fight
Two Championship teams vying for promotion will meet Tuesday night at Riverside Stadium when Middlesbrough, a playoff contender, hosts Leeds United, one of the top two contenders.

Leeds had just drawn three straight games, surrendering their hold on an automatic promotion spot, while Boro’s recent run of strong play has moved them up the league.
Middlesbrough wants to end their eight-year wait for another chance at the Premier League after
missing out on the playoffs by four points the previous season. Michael Carrick’s team has
significantly improved their chances after going through a five-game losing skid just a few weeks ago.
Within two minutes of play at Ewood Park on Friday, Boro took the lead thanks to a cool first touch and finish from Tommy Conway. Samuel Iling-Junior then scored a deflected shot shortly after, letting Boro easily win 2-0.
With six games left, the Teesside team is one point ahead of seventh place after winning five of their past seven games. They can solidify fifth place by earning all possible points again in the middle of the week.
Carrick’s team will be confident going into a tough test on Tuesday because they have just won three straight Championship home games, which is their best run since they went on a seven-game streak in early 2023.
