Leeds United Star Drops Bombshell: ‘I Could Join PSV Eindhoven’ – Fans Stunned!

Joel Piroe has reaffirmed his commitment to Leeds United but admits he has “unfinished business” at former club PSV Eindhoven, leaving the door open for a potential transfer return.

The striker says he remains “fully focused” on helping Leeds gain promotion to the Premier League, with it one of his career goals to play in the English top flight. Piroe has played 171 Championship games but has yet to experience Premier League football.

The 25-year-old was brought to Elland Road by Daniel Farke in 2023, having scored 46 goals in 96 matches for Swansea City across two seasons. The Swans had acquired him from PSV, where he had risen through the youth ranks to play 14 times for the senior side, scoring three goals.

“I had a great time there and when I think back it feels like unfinished business. But right now I am fully focused on reaching the Premier League and I want to experience that first.”

He added: “To be honest, I don’t see [promotion] failure as an option. We can’t let promotion slip away. It’s a huge dream to play in the Premier League. It’s the toughest competition there is.”

Piroe, who was once tutored by Ruud van Nistelrooy in PSV’s youth team, believes his game has progressed well since leaving his homeland aged 21. “In the Netherlands I was actually still a youth player,” he explained.
