If Everton decides to permanently acquire Charly Alcaraz this summer,

Southampton may stand to gain since they will receive the proceeds of the deal.

According to freelance writer Fabrício Lopes of the Resenha Rubro-Negra YouTube channel,

Flamengo will not profit from the deal.

Alcaraz is presently on loan at Everton from Flamengo, but the agreement contains a

provision that would allow Everton to make the move permanent if he has accrued a specific amount of game time.

The Argentine midfielder has shown promise since joining Everton and is viewed by

some as a long-term successor for Abdoulaye Doucoure, who is expected to leave on a free transfer this summer.

All signs point to Everton’s intention to acquire the player.

Given that the 22-year-old arrived from Southampton in a €18 million deal last summer,

some Flamengo supporters appear to be wondering how much money the Brazilian team will

make from such a sale, as the clause is presently set at £15 million. According to Lopes,

Flamengo will use the transfer fee they get from Everton to quickly settle their obligation to Southampton,

thus it looks like the answer is nothing.

He declared, “Flamengo will not receive a dime from this.”
