Nottingham Forest set to sign £59m-rated forward with as many goals as Chris Wood this season
Nottingham Forest don’t know their European fate just yet but already players are starting to get linked with a move to the City Ground.
Forest are keen on Viktor Gyokeres and it appears clear that a marquee signing will be made at the top end of the pitch ahead of next season.
Evangelos Marinakis wanted a striker in January but was left frustrated in his efforts to sign one with Yoane Wissa and Matheus Cunha among the targets.
Bigger and better players might be attracted to Forest in the summer, however, especially if Champions League football can be secured.
The Reds sit third in the Premier League with nine matches remaining and every day it appears that new players are being linked with Forest when the window reopens.
Nottingham Forest want Ademola Lookman
The man who claimed the African Footballer of the Year in 2024 is going to be a wanted man when the window reopens.
Team Talk now explains that Forest are among the clubs chasing the player and have watched him a number of times this season.
Lookman bagged a seriously good hat-trick in last season’s Europa League final as Atalanta became the only team to defeat Bayer Leverkusen all season.
The striker won’t come cheap and it could cost up to £59 million to prise him away from the Serie A club – despite the player’s relationship with his manager.
Earlier this season, Gian Piero Gasparini was critical of Lookman and the forward responded to the criticism on social media.
His unbelievable form has led the head coach to continue picking him, however, and the summer could be when the time comes for the player to look at pastures new.

Looman has experience in England playing with Fulham during the 2020/21 campaign and before that, he spent time with Charlton and briefly at Everton.
Lookman has also spent a short time with Leicester who signed him on loan from RB Leipzig but it’s his spell at Atalanta that has seen him really kick on.
