Nottingham Forest Africa’s best player for £59 million, according to sources.
TEAMtalk reports that Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Ademola Lookman during the summer transfer window,
but the Premier League team will face competition from five other big clubs.
Forest was almost demoted from the Premier League last season but finished 17th in the rankings.
Few expected Nuno’s side to fight for Champions League spots in the 2024-25 season,
but the Tricky Trees currently have a strong chance of finishing in the top four.
Forest are presently third in the Premier League table, with 54 points from 29 games,
six points ahead of the defending champions and fifth-placed Manchester City.
The Reds are already looking ahead to next season and intend to make huge signings during the summer transfer window,
as club owner Evangelos Marinakis has great expectations for the future.
According to TEAMtalk, Atalanta forward Lookman is one of the players Forest has expressed interest in.
According to sources, Lookman, who was crowned 2024 African Player of the Year at the
Confederation of African Football Awards in Marrakech in December, has surfaced as a prospective Forest target.
The 27-year-old Nigeria international forward, who struggled at Everton,
has scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in 32 games across all competitions for Atalanta this season.
According to TEAMtalk sources, Forest’s interest in the former
Everton forward may intensify if they qualify for the Champions League.
To date, no final internal decisions have been taken, as the club carefully evaluates its summer strategy,
although Lookman remains on their radar.
