Matt O’Riley,” the former manager says, guiding the Celtic hero out of his Brighton nightmare.

It would be a mistake for Brighton to dismiss Matt O’Riley at this point because his prior success at

Celtic indicates that he can succeed in the Premier League.

Gus Poyet, the former Seagulls manager, believes there is a “way back” for the unfortunate £30 million player.

Last summer, O’Riley made his major transfer south from Celtic, but he has been plagued by ailments that have stopped any progress.

Due to an ankle injury that held him out of action for more than two months,

he was forced to leave in tears just nine minutes into his September debut against Crawley Town.

He has only made five starts since his transfer, and there are already rumors that he might be traded in a

major to start playing more frequently in the summer.

Celtic’s 2025 focus appears to be bringing club icons home. Jota was re-signed in January,

Kieran Tierney is returning from Arsenal in the summer, and it has been suggested that Kyogo

might return to Parkhead for £3 million, just a few months after leaving for £10 million.

Is O’Riley likely to make a similar move? Poyet, the former Brighton manager,

isn’t ready to write him off just yet, but there’s no reason why not.
