Breaking News: Dan Friedkin have now be appointed as Everton’s new chairman – Details
The appointment of Dan Friedkin as Everton’s next chairman is scheduled.
Since taking over the seat of power in Goodison Park from Farhad Moshiri in December of last year,
the American has put in a lot of effort with a number of important boardroom appointments.
Initially, Friedkin was supposed to take over as the club’s new leader as soon as it was ratified,
and on Monday, he was officially accepted as a director.
His nomination, which was verified in a Companies House file, will now allow the
Blues to install their highest-ranking hierarchical figure in twenty-one years.
The chairman role had been occupied by the late Bill Kenwright from summer 2004,
when he succeeded Sir Philip Carter, until his death in October 2023. Eric Williamson,
president of the Friedkin Group’s flagship Gulf States Toyota dealership in the US, is also mentioned as a new director.
The 58-year-old presently sits on the boards of two teams that are part of TFG’s sporting portfolio:
French fourth-tier team Cannes and Serie A powerhouse AS Roma.
He has joined other Friedkin loyalists Marc Watts and Ana Dunkel, who joined the board
three months ago when Moshiri’s eight-year term ended.
With departing Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear starting his new position this summer,
TFG hasn’t wasted any time in occupying the leadership void at Goodison.
