Nottingham Forest’s Bold Vision Falls Short – Star Player Rejects Summer Move Despite Reds’ Clear Project!

Sporting star Viktor Gyökeres isn’t keen on a move to join Nottingham Forest in the summer window.

The Sweden international has excelled for the Lions since joining them from Coventry City in 2023, managing 83 goals and 25 assists of which 40 goals and 10 assists are from this season.

Gyökeres has already been linked to several top Premier League clubs. The latest claims from the UK have stated Nottingham Forest want to add the 26-year-old to their squad next season.

Saturday’s edition of Record relay this claim and then share their own take on this case.

The Reds have enjoyed an impressive run under Nuno Espírito Santo’s orders this season. They face Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup quarter-final and are currently third in the table, ahead of fourth and fifth placed Chelsea and Manchester City respectively.

They are in firm contention to qualify for the Champions League. Gyökeres, however, is ‘unlikely to consider’ a move to Nottingham Forest even if they were to play in Europe’s elite club competition next season.

Gyökeres only wants a big club and only will leave Sporting for a club that will offer him a bigger sporting project than Nottingham Forest. Therefore, he would favour joining Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus or Manchester United.
