Newcastle United owners make a £150 million show of purpose, as Manchester United go ‘all-out’ to acquire Everton star amid £40 million exit.
Yasir Al-Rumayyan is doing everything he can to keep Alexander Isak at Newcastle while
Manchester United ramps up their quest for a defender.
Dan Burn and Alexander Isak inscribed their names into Newcastle United history by scoring in both halves
as the Magpies finally ended their 70-year wait for domestic silverware at Wembley Stadium,
defeating Premier League champions elect Liverpool 2-1.
PIF governor and Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan watched from the stands as
Eddie Howe’s team took the first significant step toward reaching his objective of becoming the
world’s most successful football club.Newcastle are still in the early stages of their rise to the top of
English football, and following the game, a joyful Al-Rumayyan was seen on film exclaiming to supporters,
“That’s the first and it’s not going to be the last!” After winning a trophy,
Newcastle will now focus on trying to finish in the top four in order to return to Europe’s elite
tournament after being out since 2023. Champions League qualification combined with silverware
would be the club’s best season since they last won the league in 1927, and it would be a
significant step toward retaining some of the club’s top assets, like Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes.
