Nottingham Forest set to bring forward stadium redevelopment plans as season Card renewals for 2025/26 go on sale

Nottingham Forest have confirmed construction for an ambitious redevelopment of the City Ground could begin as soon as next season.

The club is keen to revitalise the stadium as it prepares for prolonged European football with Saturday’s (March 8) 1-0 victory over Premier League champions Manchester City cementing the Trees in third place.

Under the plans, the 60-year-old Peter Taylor Stand would be replaced with a 10,000-capacity stand with work starting during the 2025/2026 season with Forest potentially playing in the UEFA Champions League.

The club reaffirmed its ambitions to increase the ground’s capacity and better fans’ matchday experience in a statement confirming season ticket prices for next season.

“It remains the club’s ambition to redevelop the Peter Taylor Stand and there is a material prospect that we could start that work during the 2025/26 season,” the statement read.

“If that is the case, we will consult with season card holders who have seats in the Peter Taylor Stand regarding their relocation, if and when appropriate.”

With its current capacity, the City Ground ranks 15th in the Premier League for highest capacity with 30,404. The stadium also underwent hospitality renovations last year.

The club also confirmed a £1.63-per-match hike in price for renewing season ticket holders ahead of the 2025/26 campaign off the back of what will be Forest’s highest top-flight finish since 1996.

Meanwhile, prices have been frozen for child and youth season card holders in zone four, which includes seating areas across three stands. But, significant increases for Senior Season Card holders across the stadium have been confirmed.

Adult season ticket renewals start at £575 for zone four tickets, while premium zone one areas, including those close to the halfway line in the Peter Taylor Stand, will set back fans £915 for adults.

Child season cards range from £190 to £215, youth tickets cost between £285 and £300 and senior tickets from £415 to £700.

The club added: “Ahead of finalising our pricing structure for next season, the club actively sought feedback from supporters. The Nottingham Forest Supporters’ Trust conducted a survey of over 1,300 fans, revealing that 58% believe their season card offers good or excellent value for money.

“The club also met with the Fan Advisory Board and discussed a number of issues and scenarios before reaching a final decision.”
