Jonathan Tah ist bereit für die Herausforderung und sagt, Bayer Leverkusen müsse in der Champions League keine Angst vor dem Spiel gegen Bayern München haben
Bayer Leverkusen center-back Jonathan Tah almost made the jump to Bayern Munich last summer before a potential deal fell apart.
Now, Tah will be seeking to help Die Werkself find a way to pull off the unthinkable — fighting back from a 3-0 deficit (on aggregate).
“The chances are [still] there. We know it’s a huge challenge, but we’ll take on the challenge and will give everything tomorrow,” Tah said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “We have to believe and shouldn’t be scared because we have everything to win. That should be the mentality going into the game, to leave everything on the pitch. If we go into the game like that, I think we have a chance, especially with our team.”
Tah will be part of a backline seeking to keep a clean sheet against a very formidable Bayern Munich attack. If Tah and his fellow defenders can manage that, the ball will then be in the court of the attackers — who will be without Florian Wirtz.
