Crystal Palace defensive stalwart Tyrick Mitchell, 25, is reportedly a target for AC Milan.
The Serie A powerhouses are searching for a left-back going into the summer transfer window due to concerns about Theo Hernandez’s long-term future, so the Crystal Palace defensive mainstay has become a target over a Bosman move for the Rossoneri, according to a report by TEAMtalk. Born in London, the Englishman spent his formative years in his hometown, graduating from the youth division at Crystal Palace after attending the academies at Pinner Albion, FC Wembley, and Brentford.
The 25-year-old joined the South London team over nine years ago, and in July 2020, he made his debut for the first team at Selhurst Park. Mitchell hasn’t looked back since he had to wait until the 2021–2022 season to establish himself as Crystal Palace’s undeniable first-choice left-back.
The English international has made more than 150 appearances for the Eagles so far, contributing three goals and twelve assists. However, Mitchell has entered the last few months of his contract, raising questions about his long-term future at Crystal Palace. Numerous prominent clubs throughout Europe have taken notice of the problem.
Tyrick Mitchell has been linked to Manchester United in recent rumors, but other major European teams are also interested in signing the Crystal Palace wide midfielder. In a Bosman move during the summer transfer window, AC Milan will try to outbid the competition for the player’s services.
Theo Hernandez’s long-term future is causing the Serie A powerhouses to worry, and they may let go of the French international during the summer transfer window. Thus, AC Milan has made the 25-year-old Englishman a serious target.
It’s uncertain if Crystal Palace will be able to persuade the English full-back to commit to the South London team for the long run. AC Milan is running out of time to get a pre-contract deal with Mitchell.
