Aston Villa claimed their second away league win of the calendar year on Saturday by beating Brentford 1-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Ollie Watkins broke the deadlock in the 49th minute by firing past Mark Flekken inside the box, scoring his sixth goal in as many appearances against his former club.
Villa then defended manfully as Robin Olsen kept the club’s fourth league clean sheet of the season having replaced Emi Martinez in the starting XI due to the Argentine’s injury.
