The manager of Hibs responds to being connected to Swansea City. “I have ambition.”

We caution that David Gray, 36, the current head coach of Hibernian, has been linked to the
same position at Swansea City. Gray, who we have already highlighted, has had a very up and down season.
However, he now speaks on this Swans connection in a controlled manner.
Following calls for Gray’s dismissal in mid-December, Hibs’ supporters expressed their displeasure with
him in a flurry of positive results that propelled the team to third place in the Scottish Premier League (SPL) this season
. Even at the end of November, heading into a loss to Celtic in early December, fan quotes were harsh and extremely negative.
It was a club in freefall and only looking like they were going in one direction. Gray, not unlike other young managers,
and especially the last two at Swansea City was suffering from the same old symptoms. A lack of concentration, late goals
, too many errors and key players hiding on the field of play. Now, since that December 7th defeat to Celtic he
has gone from absolute zero to untouchable hero. Since these connections with the Swans he is exalted as the man
to take the club forwards. He can do no wrong, and Swansea can keep their hands off this mercurial young head coach.
