On the injury situation of Sven Botman, Newcastle United speaks out.

After a terrible week at the team’s Benton base, Newcastle United is eager to keep players’

spirits high heading into Monday night’s match against West Ham.

After confirming that Lewis Hall would miss the remainder of the season,

Newcastle did not provide the same treatment for Dutchman Sven Botman,

who reportedly underwent surgery to address a knee problem. However,

Botman seemed to downplay the rumors on Thursday afternoon when he posted on Instagram.

The center-back’s season was deemed to be over after just 455 first-team minutes,

even though he was back in training and “close” to playing Brighton & Hove Albion.

Nonetheless, during his press conference this morning,

head coach Eddie Howe will address the inquiries regarding Botman.

At least Newcastle was able to have Alexander Isak on display in training prior to the match against the

Hammers, despite the rumors that were circulating the training ground due to a few injury leaks.
