Scouts are sent by Nottingham Forest to observe an EFL striker who has contributed 16 goals.

According to Nottingham Forest News, the Reds are one of the

Premier League teams vying for Josh Sargent, a striker for Norwich City.

If Premier League football isn’t guaranteed at Carrow Road,

the American striker is expected to depart the Canaries,

as Evangelos Marinakis is eager to bring in a new striker this summer.

Since arriving in Norwich from Werder Bremen in 2021, Sargent has been playing well.

Although he played for the Carrow Road team in the Premier League for one season,

he only managed to score twice in 26 games.

But Sargent has developed as a player in the Championship.

He has scored 40 goals and provided nine assists in 87 games in the second division,

16 of which have come in the 2024–2025 season.

Now, it appears that Forest has taken action to observe Sargent play,

as several Premier League teams are reportedly thinking about making a move for

him at the end of the season. According to Graeme Bailey,

Nottingham Forest News has learned that Forest has dispatched scouts to observe Sargent this season.

As we know from January, Forest is trying to increase their offensive alternatives,

and they are among the teams who have looked at Josh Sargent, he informed us.

Forest is one of those teams with a lot of goals, and a lot will rely on how they perform;

if they qualify for the Champions League, their goals and objectives might be slightly different.
