Newcastle United star Kevin Keegan assists in raising £20,000 for the NSPCC

Newcastle United legend Kevin Keegan and current Newcastle United Women’s

star Shania Hayles led a charity event that brought together football fans from both the past

and present to support a crucial cause.
An estimated £20,000 was raised during the sold-out event to support the Tiny Lives Trust

and the NSPCC. As Keegan shared tales from his remarkable playing and coaching career,

the guests relished an evening filled with football memories.

One of Newcastle United’s most well-known players, Keegan, talked of his deep affection

for the city and its ardent followers.

“Evenings like this remind me why Newcastle has always held a special place in my heart,”

Keegan remarked. “It’s amazing to see the football community uniting to support children

and families who need it most, and the generosity displayed tonight is truly remarkable.”

The occasion was also attended by Shania Hayles, a Jamaican international and rising

star for Newcastle United Women. With nine goals in 12 games this season, Hayles has contributed

significantly to her team’s success. She has already established herself with standout performances,

including as Newcastle’s first-ever Championship victory and a professional hat-trick.
