The Fulham star could command a transfer fee of over £40 million which could be a huge boost to the club.
Fulham will be hoping to end the season on a high as they remain in the hunt for European football under Marco Silva, in what has been a great year at Craven Cottage.
They currently sit ninth in the Premier League, just four points off fifth place, which is expected to provide a Champions League spot for next season. If they are to qualify for Europe, Fulham will need to make sure they have a squad for it.
The Cottagers could make splash in the summer transfer window to boost the squad, however, they will need to fund that, and it could come in the form of defender Antonee Robinson, who has attracted interest from Premier League rivals.
Liverpool expected to make summer move for Robinson
Robinson has been superb for Silva’s side this season, playing as a full-back who has been able to create countless chances for Fulham. He has qualities both defensively and going forward, something that has attracted the attention of Liverpool.
The Reds were linked to Robinson alongside Man United before the January transfer window, but neither made a move for the 28-year-old. However, according to Caught Offside, Liverpool are preparing to offer around £29 million for Robinson, although they report that Fulham wants a fee of closer to £40 million, which could provide a huge boost to their transfer funds.
The report suggests that Liverpool want to sign a left-back who can replace Andy Robertson, who has struggled to find consistent form under Arne Slot this season. Furthermore, they could be set to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract expires in the summer, meaning that they will need reinforcements at the full-back position.
The report also says that Chelsea are keen to land Robinson, after an excellent season for the USA international. The 28-year-old has made 27 Premier League appearances for Fulham this season, providing 10 assists, which is tied for the second-most in the league. Only Mohamed Salah has more assists than Robinson this season, so it is no surprise that Chelsea and Liverpool are eyeing a move for him.
Fulham could use £40m Robinson sale to fund a move for a striker
A £40m sale of Robinson could be very useful for Fulham who look set to sign a striker in the summer transfer window. Raul Jimenez has yet again been impressive this season, but he is now 33 years old. As they look to replace Jimenez, who has scored nine Premier League goals this season, they have been linked to former Chelsea academy graduate Tammy Abraham.
Abraham is currently a Roma player, but he’s on loan at AC Milan this season, having netted eight goals in all competitions for the Serie A club. It is understood that both West Ham and Fulham are among the clubs interested in signing Abraham this summer. He joined Roma in 2021 for a fee of £34m, and so the £40m transfer boost from selling Robinson could be enough to fund a move for the 27-year-old, who was born in London.
