Ben Broggio has agreed to a new, long-term contract with Aston Villa, the team is happy to announce.
The 18-year-old earned his senior debut in September when he came off the bench in Villa’s
Carabao Cup victory over Wycombe Wanderers in the third round.
In November, he was included in the starting lineup for a Premier League
match against Crystal Palace.
Broggio has gained international notice with the England Under-18s this season due to
his reliable performances for the Under-21s in Premier League 2,
the EFL Trophy, and the UEFA Youth League.
Mark Harrison, the academy manager, is pleased to see Broggio pledge his future to the team.
“We are delighted that Ben has signed a new long-term contract,
this is a recognition of his continued development over the last year and also the potential he has shown,” he stated.
“As an offensive midfielder, he has excelled in several games this season,
which has led to some first team involvement.
“As somebody who has been at the Academy since his Under-9 year,
we look forward to seeing how he develops over the coming seasons.”
