The sale of Elliot Anderson, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Yankuba Minteh
was the primary source of Newcastle United’s £70 million profit on player sales in the most recent fiscal year,
which ran from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. This profit on player sales in the most recent
fiscal year is comparable to a £2.8 million profit on player sales in 2022–2023.
The following information was made public in the Newcastle United 2023–2024 accounts on
Tuesday, March 4, 2025: “Amortization increased by £9.9m from £86.8m to £96.7m,
reflecting a full year impact of January 2023 player spend, together with additions in
Summer 2023 including Barnes, The sale of Anderson, Minteh, and Saint-Maximin
generated the majority of the £69.8 million profit on the disposal of players’
and staff registrations (2023: £2.8 million). The club released the Newcastle United
2023–24 accounts on March 4, 2025: “Newcastle United Limited
(Newcastle United) has filed its financial results for the 12 months ended 30 June 2024,
reflecting a 28% increase in overall revenue.”
