
Four players are vying for recall in Stoke City’s projected Coventry squad.
This Saturday, Stoke City will return to live television when
Mark Robins leads his team against Coventry.
In front of the Sky Sports cameras, Stoke hopes to improve on a home
draw with Watford and resume their winning ways.
Robins is hoping to be helped by the fullest squad he has had since taking over on New Year’s Day.
As the manager attempts to find the ideal balance between experience and energy,
solidity and creativity, Wouter Burger (knee), Lewis Baker (illness),
Million Manhoef (illness), and Sam Gallagher, who has been gaining fitness,
are arguably pushing the hardest to make the starting XI on Saturday (12.30pm).

this summer after the FFP decision As long as everyone stays healthy,
the goalkeeper and back four will essentially pick themselves.
Viktor Johansson has been the team’s standout player this season,
and Ben Wilmot did well last weekend when he moved back to center-half alongside
Ashley Phillips in place of Coventry old boy Michael Rose.
Junior Tchamadeu adds to Stoke’s attacking threat from right-back,
while Enda Stevens plays a significant role at left-back.
Eric Bocat has returned from injury if Stevens is unable to play every minute of three games in eight days,
Blackburn Rovers (home, Wednesday, March 12, 8pm) and Millwall (Saturday,
Hopefully, Ben Pearson survived his first full game in sixteen months,
and Robins will need to consider how best to balance him with Jordan Thompson,
who made Stoke more difficult to beat against Watford,
but who will be vying for the same spot as fellow left-footer
Burger unless the latter is moved into a more attacking role where
Andrew Moran has been used. Baker is an alternative at number ten,
and Gallagher could be used as a second striker.
