Confirmed kickoff time and ticket prices for Birmingham City’s Vertu Trophy match at Wembley

Birmingham City, accompanied by tens of thousands of fans,

will visit Wembley for the first time since 2011 — when they were also renownedly successful — on Sunday,

April 13. The club and the EFL have confirmed that the game will start at 3pm for their Vertu

Trophy final against Peterborough United at Wembley next month.

The Blues secured their spot at the home of English football with a narrow victory over

League Two Bradford City in the semi-finals, while Posh stunned Wrexham after falling

behind 2-0 to win the other semi on penalties. As for ticket allocations,

opponents Peterborough have confirmed that their allocation stands at 25,190.

They will be located on the east side of the stadium, and their adult tickets –

across six categories – range from £20 to £60. They also have a dedicated standing section.

The game will be the only one of the entire competition to use 30 minutes of extra time,

rather than going straight to penalties, if necessary. If Blues and Posh are tied after 120 minutes of action,

a penalty shoot-out will be used to determine the final.

“We’d love it if we could get back to Wembley and watch us take on Birmingham in

front of 50,000 ‘Bluenoses’ and 25,000 of our fans,” Posh chairman

Darragh MacAnthony said prior to his team’s winning semi-final.

“We’d actually make money from that final because of the crowd.

We didn’t last season because of the player bonuses and a not-so-big crowd.”

This means Blues will be granted the west end of the Wembley stadium,

and he previously confirmed that their allocation would be greater, measuring 36,968.
