BREAKING NEWS: The Real Madrid team admits the referees to their Laliga colleagues.

The Real Madrid team admits the referees to their Laliga colleagues.

Over the past six weeks, Real Madrid has ensured that the commotion surrounding La Liga officiating has not subsided.

After broadcasting defamatory recordings against referees for two years, Real Madrid TV escalated the situation by accusing the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) of corruption and manipulation of the system.

In addition, manager Carlo Ancelotti has been vocal about it. In recent seasons,

the Italian has been generally reticent to criticize officials, but when pressed,

he has stated that referees are hurting Real Madrid and that the system has to be changed.

Fede Valverde’s statement last week that “all referees are human and all referees make mistakes,” expressing sympathy for officials and acknowledging that players make mistakes too, was somewhat unexpected.

Fewly an hour after making his remarks during the press conference, Valverde took to Twitter/X to “clarify” his remarks, stating that he did not want to overlook Real Madrid’s suffering due to La Liga officiating.

This raised eyebrows.

The contradiction was further demonstrated last weekend when Real Madrid players posed with their Girona counterparts and the referees in front of a sign that read, “respect the referee,” as part of an RFEF initiative.

In minute 12 of the action, the Santiago Bernabeu’s singing section chanted, “corruption in the Federation,” which the club encouraged.

According to the MD, the team, at least all of them, support the club’s position.

As both sets of players waited in the tunnel before their match against Girona, one of the Real Madrid

players told their opponents that they disagreed with the campaign against officials but that they had to comply with the instructions.
