Preview: United to get the better of Fulham again, this time in the FA Cup

This weekend, Manchester United will host Fulham at Old Trafford in the Emirates FA Cup,

giving them a respite from the Premier League. After a fierce battle in which Patrick Dorgu was

sent off and will miss the next three domestic games, Ruben Amorim’s team defeated Ipswich

Town 3-2 on Wednesday night.

United has participated well in the cup events, even if they were eliminated early from the

Carabao Cup this season. United is in the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League, where they

will play Real Sociedad. They are also in the Emirates FA Cup, where they will play Fulham for

a spot in the final eight.

United is currently in 14th place in the Premier League, which is their worst finish in the top

division of English football. Fulham is nine points ahead of United in ninth position, indicating

that their season is far superior to United’s. They haven’t defeated United in the league this

season, though.
