Nottingham Forest are reportedly eyeing Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante as they plan their

summer transfer activity.

The Reds will aim to be planning for European action at the conclusion of the season. Nuno

Espirito Santo’s side is third in the Premier League rankings with 12 games remaining.

With a Champions League spot on the line, Forest are reportedly keeping an eye on Cristante in

order to boost their midfield options. According to ASRomaLive, the 29-year-old is one of the

Reds’ “monitored” players ahead of the summer transfer window.

Forest is said to have made a “request for information” regarding the Italian, with chief executive

Lina Souloukou representing a “important channel”. Souloukou, who previously worked at Roma,

is thought to have a positive relationship with Cristante’s agent, Giuseppe Riso.
According to the source, any conversations could include the prospect of a swap, with Reds

midfielder Nicolas Dominguez travelling in the opposite direction. However, that option is

defined as little more than one of the “hypotheses” under consideration at this time.

Cristante’s future at Roma was called into question during the winter transfer window after falling

down the pecking order at the Serie A club. Fiorentina, Inter Milan, Juventus, and AC Milan have all previously expressed an interest in him. He is also rumoured to have admirers in the MLS and Saudi Arabia.
Forest are particularly well-stocked in the midfield right now. Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare have

recently returned from injury and are now competing with Elliot Anderson, Ryan Yates, and

Dominguez for a starting position.
