Leeds United v West Brom – Team news, how to watch, prediction, lineups and ‘new’ kick-off time.

Leeds United will be keen to maintain their winning momentum as West Brom travel to Elland Road on Saturday.

The Whites took a huge step towards promotion last time out with a 3-1 win against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Monday (24 February).

This has put the LS11 club in the driving seat to secure a top two spot this campaign, but to do so, Daniel Farke’s side have to continue to pick up points.

The path to the Premier League could have as little as 12 games remaining and the journey is set to continue as the Baggies travel to Yorkshire.

Leeds v West Brom Preview

It is safe to say that the Leeds faithful are on top of the world right now after yet another late victory, this time against Chris Wilder’s Blades.

Goals from Joel Piroe and Ao Tanaka proved to be the difference and was enough to send the Whites five points clear at the top of the second-tier.

This was the third win on the bounce for Farke and Co. and the German will be keen to make it four with a win against Tony Mowbray’s side.

It is fair to say that it won’t be an easy task at Elland Road given that Albion sit just four places back, in fifth place and are firmly in the race to earn a playoff spot.

After securing a win last time out against Oxford United, the West Midlands outfit will also be keen to kickstart a positive run at form between now and the end of the campaign.

Team news

The Whites look set to be without three players for the visit of the Albion with Patrick Bamford and Max Wober likely to miss out as they did against Sheffield United.

Farke also looks set to be without Ethan Ampadu again who also was absent from the matchday squad for the trip to Bramall Lane.

This is a similar story for Mowbray who looks set to be without Josh Maja and Jed Wallace once again while being dealt a fresh injury blow after Semi Ajayi went off with a hamstring injury against Oxford.

Predicted line-ups

Leeds United: Meslier, Byram, Rodon, Struijk, Firpo, Tanaka, Rothwell, Gnonto, James, Solomon, Piroe

West Brom: Wildsmith, Furlong, Bartley, Heggem, Styles, Mowatt, Molumby, Price, Fellows, Johnston, Armstrong

How to watch

The lunchtime clash at Elland Road is set to be shown live on Sky Sports Football at 12:30pm while also being available on NOW TV.

Prediction: Leeds United 3-1 West Brom

There is no reason why the table-topping Whites shouldn’t be securing all three points against the Baggies, especially at Elland Road.

The Black Country outfit aren’t without their dangers with playoff final scoring Adam Armstrong representing a particular threat upfront under Mowbray.

Regardless of this, it feels as if Leeds will have too much for the Albion with Farke set to rely on Solomon, Piroe, James and Gnonto once again.

If this quartet and can take advantage of their opposition’s weakened backline, there is every chance that they go and secure yet another win.
