Sunderland striker Jewison Bennette, a target for Charlton Athletic,

is expected to finally leave Championship team Sunderland following his unsuccessful

Deadline Day move to The Valley earlier this month. Since moving to the North East in 2022,

the Costa Rican international has struggled to establish himself in the starting lineup at the Stadium of Light.

Bennette scored two goals for the Black Cats in his debut season but hasn’t scored since,

making just one first team appearance this season, a nine-minute Carabao Cup cameo in a 2-0 loss to
