refused a move away from Wearside, it seems he has a new, very different option at his feet now.
Truth be told, it was a terrible transfer window for Sunderland as a whole.
Although it was a wise business move to sign Enzo Le Fee,
Jayden Danns was a lackluster addition. Since Danns and Le Fee have both been ruled out for the season due to injuries, the Black Cats will have to settle for what they have until the end of the current campaign.
But, there’s one man who still won’t have a chance of forging his way into Regis Le Bris’ plans.
The topic of discussion between Sunderland and LNZ Cherkasy is Jewison Bennette.
Jewison Bennette appeared to be headed to League One during the January transfer window, with Charlton Athletic being the suggested destination and a loan deal being discussed.
However, Bennette’s move fell through on deadline day as Charlton ran out of time to complete the appropriate papers.
Now, though, Bennette is the subject of interest from Ukrainian side LNZ Cherkasy. Journalist Kevin Jimenez shared this information on Twitter/X, writing: “LNZ are interested in Jewison Bennette, negotiations are ongoing.”
