The left-back’s debut for Millwall against Derby County impressed Alex Neil.

The 21-year-old left-back, who joined the Lions on loan from Chelsea three weeks ago, made his first appearance on the field on Saturday after Joe Bryan hobbled off the field in the 58th minute. “He did well,” said Alex Neil after the game. “There were just a couple of times, obviously he’s really eager, he sort of pops that ball and runs beyond it before we secured it. So a couple of little bits to improve on.” “I thought he was competitive in the air.”

ALEX In Millwall’s 1-0 victory over Derby County on Saturday, Neil felt Zak Sturge’s debut went well, although there were “a couple of little bits to improve.”

After the game, Neil remarked, “He did well.” “On a few occasions, he sort of pops that ball and rushes past it before we grabbed it, demonstrating his obvious eagerness. Thus, there are a few minor aspects that need improvement.
