With a winger expected to start a summer transfer bidding battle, Tottenham may be in for a financial bonanza.
Paul Robinson anticipates a bidding war to break out this summer for the services of a Tottenham Hotspur winger.
The goalie speculates that Leeds United and Everton would compete for the player’s services.
Luka Vuskovic, Jamie Donley, Alfie Devine, Josh Keeley,
and George Abbott are among the Spurs’ young players who are excelling out on loan this season.
Injuries stopped the winger from getting an opportunity to impress at Spurs last season,
but he appears to have put his injury issues behind him since joining Leeds on loan,
having scored seven goals and registered seven assists for the Premier League promotion contenders thus far.
Tottenham had no plans to recall Solomon from loan in January despite their
injury issue and instead elected to employ the available players at Postecoglou’s disposal.
For Manor Solomon, Paul Robinson anticipates a bidding war.
The Leeds supporters have taken a liking to the Isreal international,
and many of them are eager to see him move permanently to Elland Road.
Robinson, however, stated that he anticipates Everton to present competition to
the Championship team for the 25-year-old and that Daniel Farke’s team must guarantee
promotion to the top flight in order to have any chance of acquiring Solomon.
“He looks a good player at that level,” the former Spurs number one said in response to a question
about Solomon’s future in an interview with Football Insider.
He has made 26 appearances for Leeds, scoring seven goals and dishing out seven assists.
I believe he is one of the players from that Leeds club who can compete in the Premier League, but the question is whether he can step up.
“Leeds has to get Premier League players, but they now have higher expectations. He is among the players who could help Leeds become competitive in the Premier League.
Regarding Everton, we discuss their need for a winger once a week. Solomon is a player that would strengthen their ranks and can play as a number ten or on either flank, depending on the formation David Moyes chooses.
“Now that he’s 25, you shouldn’t wait for him to show promise; he’s prepared and eager to play. Of course,
Leeds is also interested, but they won’t be considered unless they are promoted to the Premier League. Everton isn’t the only team interested.
Solomon will be the focus of a summer bidding battle, as one might anticipate given that Tottenham has loaned him away.
He needs to play regular football, and I believe Everton is a fantastic fit for him, but many other teams will be interested in him.
