Ben Doak, a winger for Middlesbrough, has announced his injury return schedule.
The January loan signing recovered over the weekend and was able to train earlier
today after being forced to miss Friday night’s loss to Bristol City due to illness.
He is scheduled to go to the bet365 Stadium tomorrow, although it is unclear if he
will be able to unseat Neto Borges from the Ashton Gate lineup.”All of the injured guys
won’t be returning, but Ryan is back in and around it, which is good,” Carrick remarked
after recovering from his sickness over the weekend.Riley McGree and Jonn
y Howson are still listed as long-term absentees, although Doak is nearing the
conclusion of his recuperation from a thigh injury.
“I don’t expect the injured lads to be back for the weekend either,” Carrick said,
adding, “but they’re a little bit further away than that. It shouldn’t be too long after that,
maybe a week or two.” “We’re hoping that Ben will be in and around it in terms of training next week.
We don’t want to put too much of a deadline on that.” “Everyone’s waiting to see when he’s fit,
I get that, but we’ll have to wait and see. He’s not too far away now, so that’s good”.
