George Elek of Not The Top 20 thinks John Eustace is a “very good appointment” for Derby County,
but he thinks that “right now it seems more likely than ever that they will get relegated.
” The Rams had a terrible start to 2025 and fired Paul Warne in early February after losing seven games in a row,
dropping from a position of relative safety to 22nd in the league table. Since Warne’s departure,

County made a wise choice and that Eustace can lead the Rams in the future.
“I think it is a very good appointment from Derby,” Elek replied.
“This type of appointment is really effective. Eustace will be the ideal manager to put them
back up if he does manage to bring them down.
Eustace is an excellent fit for the type of play that propels teams out of League One.
He will assemble a good, tough, and determined team that will be founded on a strong
